Sweet Sketch Wednesday: Bugaboo

Soooo, Wednesday has rolled around again, which means that not only am I now half way through my holiday, but that it is also time for a new challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, and this week we are sponsored by (drum roll please):

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!

If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps stamps at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.

This week we have a great sketch from Sally that I found really easy to work with for my card:

To make my card I coloured the image with promarkers and metallic markers, adding stickles glitter glue on the 'fur' bits and liquid pearls on the snow.  I also stamped the 'From All Of Us' sentiment in black versafine ink.  The stamp was from a set in my stash - I can't remember where it came from originally. I then layered the image onto a piece of red card from my stash.

The brown snowflake backing paper is from my LOTV Krafty Christmas, which I love.  The red spotty paper is from my stash - probably a freebie from somewhere.

I used some snowflake organza ribbon and some red wire-mesh ribbon to hide the join in the papers.  I then layered the papers onto some green card.

The sentiment at the bottom of the card is a white peel-off from my stash.

To finish, I added a gold and a silver snowflake from my stash in the top left hand corner and clear gems on the other corners of the image.

Happy Crafting!
